Description

Located on a cliff with magnificent views of the North Sea, this course is a more faithful links style than its sister Kittocks. Designed by Denis Griffiths in collaboration with Gene Sarazen and Sam Torrance, it appeals to strategy and the punishment/reward element in several holes. Its pot bunkers and fast greens put anyone who does not show respect in trouble.

Signature Hole

Hole 17 is a par 4 that runs parallel to the coastline, with the constant threat on the right edge, and a fairway that cuts just before the green, for a tight approach in search of the flag.

Wegolf Insider Tip

Staying at the Fairmont is a great option if you are looking for a conventional hotel of international standard, with greater comfort than usual in St Andrew's.

The good, The Bad

A good option away from the conventional circuit.
If this field were anywhere else in the world, it would undoubtedly stand out; However, not having the tradition of the others at St Andrew's, it is somewhat overshadowed.
